He’s been around for a couple of days. I could hear him but could not pick him out amongst the leaves. Today he chose an oak tree just now leafing out. He was easier to spot and I got several good shots of him. I even got one of him eating a caterpillar (out of focus 🙁 ) He sang most of the day but is finally silent. I am sure he will start again in the morning. It never ceases to amaze me that these small birds can sing so loudly.

I love the picture you posted on this website of the red eyed Caruso , and no, it doesn’t get any better than just watching birds !!
