This was the first time I’ve spotted a young Red-bellied Woodpecker at one of my feeders. I guess it got tired of waiting for mom and dad to bring it something to eat and decided to visit the feeder on its own.

I’ve noticed this bird at my backyard feeder here in south Florida several times but was only able to identify it today. The gray head threw me off but the black and white stippled wings and back narrowed it down.
