My family and I truly enjoyed seeing these Ruby-throated Hummingbirds as they stopped in our yard during fall migration. We had a Hummer visitor as late as October 8, 2014, which was the latest ever for our yard.

October 8 is very late for where you live. I’m 500 miles south of you, and my hummers normally disappear in the first week of October, with the latest date I’ve recorded as the 10th. However, two years ago I had either a sick or injured bird that missed the migration with the others, and that single bird showed up at my feeder for an extra two weeks.
