The “pro” of using tray feeders is that you can provide a variety of feeds that allows the birds to pick and choose what they want. The “con” of tray feeders is that the birds seem to enjoy them so much that your other feeders can become abandoned by the birds.

Our birds love it but how can it be safely cleaned?
Hello Elizabeth, you can clean bird feeders with either a dilute bleach solution or vinegar (never mix the two) and scrub the feeder, and then let dry. Check out our page here on tips to clean your feeders: https://feederwatch.org/learn/feeding-birds/safe-feeding-environment/
