Description

My wife and I were walking around Chastain Park in Atlanta, GA this weekend after some heavy rains. There were some flooded areas of the golf course at the park and we came upon a flock of what looked like shore birds. I thought they may be juvenile wimbrels, but I don’t believe they should be around here.

They were there both Saturday and Sunday this past weekened (7/1-2) feeding in the flooded areas. We counted 31 birds.

Can anyone confirm what these are?
