The gulls sit on a nearby roof waiting for the herring to run at the old Brewster Mill. When the weather is just right the herring start swimming up stream by the thousands. Through the daily visitors and competing birds the gulls come down to fish. This Herring Gull was nice enough to choose bringing his catch right next to me. It is amazing how fast the gull can eat the whole herring!
