Description

This is an very early morning shot of a willet feeding at the water’s edge. I positioned my camera about 2 inches above the sand to be at the bird’s eye level. This meant lying down in the wet sand and lifting the camera if a strong wave came up. The willet would let me know if there was a big wave coming because it would run towards me onto the beach. Getting the shot was thus a collaboration between me and the bird!
