Just when I started feeling guilty about not getting around to pulling the weeds from my garden, a flock of American Goldfinches made me glad I kept them around.
Week 5: Natural Foods
Dandelions may be "just weeds", but to us they are a meal of tasty seeds!
In our yard we have several goldfinches eating Dandelion seeds in the past few days! We even saw a male Indigo Bunting eating the seeds too.
I just saw this same behavior in my backyard. It was wonderful to see.
