This eastern screech owl may not be red himself, but his dinner certainly was. He seemed to use this wood duck nest box fairly regularly over the last winter. When I refreshed the box for the ducks in the spring, I found bluejay, northern flicker, and red-winged blackbird feathers among the owl pellets.
