Description

I put some sunflower in my hand, grabbed my camera and iPod, and ran out to my feeder. I played a chickadee song on my iPod to attract some chickadees, and I stood by my feeder and waited. It wasn’t long before chickadees came around to snack. Some hesitantly flew down to the sunflower seed feeder and quickly grabbed a seed and then flew back into the trees. Some almost landed in my hand to eat seed.
I had my camera ready for the next chickadee to come close, and I snapped this picture. I cropped it around the chickadee. It is one of the best pictures I’ve ever taken, and having chickadees up that close to me was a wonderful experience.
