I took this photo on November 27 after a snowstorm that left us with 4 3/8 inches of snow. I was surprised that this lowly feeder has become the favorite of birds–and a perfect frame for photos taken from my dining room table. When I set the lens to the closest I can get, it still frames the feeder perfectly. A neighbor gave me this old feeder because the Plexiglas was broken. I cleaned it and took out the Plexiglas, converting it to a platform feeder with a roof. It holds enough food.
