My family and I stumbled upon this Cooper’s Hawk eating its dinner in a pine tree near the parking lot as we were leaving my acupuncture treatment. We were clued in by feathers floating from the tree. The feathers turned out to be coming from the hawk’s dinner. We were fortunate to be able to watch the bird eat for a few minutes before it stashed the remainder of its meal in a crook of the tree and flew off.
