Schools of anchovies were in the area an the pelicans, sea gulls and seals were having a feast.
Week 3: Birds in Flight
Brown Pelicans and California Gulls feeding on anchovies.
I saw an anchovy feast like this from the shore at Seabright State Beach last December. There were a ton of gulls on the shore too– quick to steal any unguarded picnic food.
