Week 11: Natural Foods
Species: Northern Flicker
I saw a group of birds that looked and behaved like the northern flickers, but did not have the red markings on the back of the hear or the breast. They were beautifully flecked and the folder wings on their backs had a very well marked “plates like the lines of a spider web” for lack of a better way to describe it. What were they? Can you help. thanks
