During the recent “Polar Vortex” that swept south into South Carolina, it was a challenge to keep the water in my little deck birdbath ice free. This cheerful Pine Warbler didn’t seem to mind a little ice to go with his drink. The caption on the inside rim of this little birdbath reads: “His eye is on the Sparrow, and I know He watches me”.

This cheerful Pine Warbler didn't seem to mind the icy water at the little birdbath on my deck, during the recent Polar Vortex that hit Columbia, SC in Jan 2014.
