Description

The sharp-shinned hawk is a “sometimes” backyard visitor in my yard. This particular bird spent a whole afternoon sitting on the ground under a tree. Not where I would have expected to find a hawk! They have such great “camo” that the only reason I noticed him was because of his yellow eyes and yellow lores. That and the fact that there was a notable absence of birds at my feeders that afternoon!

Scary Yellow!

What time is lunch being served?
