In December 2013, my family and I went to visit my mom in Pensacola, FL for Christmas. Just about every day, I went to the beach to photograph the birds. There were two Great Blue Herons who visited the fishermen on the shore, looking for scraps. When there were no fishermen present, they would wander the beach. This beautiful heron was looking for food among the tide pools on the beach.
