In the spring, I place clumps of clean dog fur on the branches of our shrubs and in suet cages on tree trunks. Our yard birds appreciate and use this supplemental nesting material. It’s very cute watching them pull and pull…gather and gather…until they finally have enough and fly off with their beak overflowing!
