Description

Some people find the California Towhee boring due to their drab brown and orange color. I’ve find that they are full of personality! For several weeks, rain or shine, this Towhee (or maybe a different one!) would sit and wait each day, rain or shine, for me to fill the platform feeder. We have about 42 bird species on our property in the winter. In my experience, the California Towhee is the species that is the least afraid of humans.
