During the Fall and Winter in Corvallis, OR, it seems that everywhere you look, the ground is covered with golden-crowned sparrows. Little drab balls of grey and brown, most people just walk past them without a second glance. Up close however, it is easy to see just how beautiful they really are. With crowns of golden yellow, they stand as little round kings of the bird world in the wintertime.
