A few weeks ago, I woke up to freezing rain here in PA. I peeked out the window and caught these mourning doves sitting on the neighbor’s roof peak, squinting and blinking in the rain. Silly doves, I thought, sitting there in the open. It’s one of their favorite hang outs though, rain or shine! (In fact, one year, they made a nest at the very end of the gutter!)
Week 10: "Boring" is Beautiful
A family of doves sat on a neighbor's roof in the freezing rain early this month. I could see the precipitation bouncing off the shingles as the birds huddled together, fluffed for warmth.
