Description

Every spring the grackles show up – usually accompanied by a hoard of starlings – and they devour everything in our yard. For years I was annoyed with these birds until one day I sat and really watched this one. They are actually really beautiful when the sun catches them just right and their iridescent blue and purple sparkles. This one posed for me in the sun quite nicely.
