I have 6-8 gray jays here year round. I adore them. They can make me laugh. If I forget their breakfast (or am too late), they carry on like banshees! They even dive bombed me one morning! And they are merciless toward my livestock guardian dog; they sit on the deck railing ready to pounce if he walks away from his kibble bowl. I learned they also like fresh berries, when I used a leftover cobbler container to offer them the berries on the deck railing. At one point I had 4 of them all lined up waiting their turn but couldn’t get a photo of that!
