It was the first time that the snow was packable all season (Feb 2014) and I thought it would be great to build a Snowman to help me with clearing a spot for the ground feeding birds. Then it dawned on me that I could use the Snowman to help feed the birds too! At first they all were a bit tentative, but once they realized that the Snowman was not going to “get them”, they all came for a bit if seeds and of course the Chickadees where the first to land!
