Description

A few years ago, I decided I wanted to plant some native flowers for the wildlife in the yard and purchased a bee balm plant at a craft fair. It has since flourished and spread, and each year the hummingbirds, bees, and sphinx moths enjoy extracting nectar from them. This photo was taken 2 years ago, but the species is a regular visitor every year!
