Description

I was lucky enough to see and get a photograph of an unusually colored hummingbird (assumed Ruby-throated) that I observed in our yard September 12 -14, 2010. This was quite an unusual sighting and I have now learned about the phenomena of leucism and that this bird was not an albino since it didn’t have a pink beak and feet or have red eyes.
