Description

One a walk down a path in the Fannie Stebbins Wildlife Preserve, I became aware of some motion just overhead and a little to my right. All of a sudden I spotted a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird flitting about never flying more than a few feet away from this tree branch. Suddenly she settled down onto what I realized was her nest. This shot is zoomed in, but I got to tell you, this nest is very small and intricately put together as you can see in the photo.
