This elegant beauty was a visitor to my feeders mid August this year. I was immediately struck by her size, as she is clearly at the top end of the scale in size for Ruby Throated Hummingbirds, at 5 inches, perhaps even over at 5-1/2 inches! Her long graceful neck and curved beak ( not usual for the Rubies) , as well as slight patina of red reflected by the feeder Under her chin just added to the overall picture . A true favorite this season ☺️❤️??
