Description

The common Blue Jay is boring in the sense that they are frequent visitors, but there couldn’t be a more beautiful boring bird with those striking blue feathers. That said, they can be a little bossy! This is a juvenile Blue Jay who was certainly large enough and capable enough to feed himself, especially since the feeder was just out of view of this branch. Never the less, he continued to beg, flapping his wings, and “crying” for an adult to feed him. They were having none of it!

It’s always a thrill to photograph a juvenile bird, and you’ve caught this one just right. Such detail and color as well as the composition make this photo a winner in my book! Thank you for your submission.
