Description

This common House Sparrow was having an afternoon snack in my hand-painted wooden feeder in front of my home. The sparrows have been bunching in a nearby bush and regularly jockey for position to get the best feeding spot. Occasionally chickadees will quickly dart into the bush and onto the feeder, but rarely stay for long as the sparrows do. I have also spotted Cardinals and a Tufted Titmouse here recently. This was taken on a cold, sunny afternoon in Foxboro, MA.
