Description

Late in the afternoon in the early Spring I visited Westside Park in Fenton, MO to photograph some beautiful Spring flowers. As I began to walk further along the path, I spotted a White-throated Sparrow hiding in some brush just off the trail. Some of the green leaves were just starting to grow. I slowly walked up, not to scare off the bird, until I could get this shot. HIs bright yellow feathers just above his eye and his white throat came out perfectly as he turned his head toward me, just before taking off.
