Week 4: Woodpeckers & Nuthatches
A red-breasted Sapsucker pauses in the midst of pounding at an apple tree to bask in the morning sun
Great close up of this red-breasted sapsucker. This bird is unfamiliar to me, as I live in Western New York. I used to live in Oregon, though. But that was a long time ago and I was not a birder back then.
I learned a new bird species, thanks to your submission.
