We came across this very interesting encounter with a Turkey Vulture and an Alligator while driving through Viera Wetlands. The gator had just finished chomping down on a wing of the dead American Coot that is next to the Vulture – and it wanted the rest of its meal. The vulture successfully defended the carcass when the gator got closer. The gator eventually went back into the water.
