Week 14: Birds of Prey
Species: Barred Owl
I admire your photo, Pam. The green forest highlights the Barred Owl in its natural habitat, and the detail is certainly very good. Don’t you love how the owl’s back is toward you and yet that head is also looking directly at you? Owls are so great to observe whenever possible. Thank you.
This is a nice photo pose of a barred. Not your typical portrait frontal view. The rich deep green oak leaves and various chocolate browns of the branches and the barred owl’s feathers, and especially its eyes, highlighted by the white markings and the pale orange beak, make this a pleasing photo.
