Description

These starlings are in a juvenile plumage… they are extremely gregarious and are frequently found in huge, noisy flocks known as murmurations. Amazingly… there is no leader in a flock of starlings… their movement is governed by all of the starlings in the flock, and exactly how this happens remains a mystery to researchers studying them.
A lone, non-breeding adult is in the middle on the left side.
