Description

This Marten had no trouble making the jump from the trunk of a large Douglas Fir to the feeder hanging from one of its branches. We load the feeder with chunks of fat and fatty bones. The Marten was a frequent visitor in the winter of 2015-16

Reminded me of a squirrel (“Kramer”) we had coming around years ago, to be fed peanuts by hand. Maybe the same squirrel who went after our bird feeders then, who I almost blinded with a Scotch Mint fired from a wrist rocket! Also broke the bird feeder! Earned our office “Turkey Award” that year, and spent the winter nursing him back to health…..
