Description

Photo taken from the top of the tallest building in Fort Wayne, IN as the DNR folks were taking the chicks from the nest to band them. I work in the building and was granted permission to photograph the event for Indiana Michigan Power, who sponsored the nest. The parents were not happy to have anyone near the chicks and continued to dive bomb, at top speeds, the folks doing the banding. To band them, they had to wear face shields, leather jackets and gloves to protect themselves from the parents. What a magnificent site to view these beautiful birds in flight.
