Description

A tiny neotropical bird that feeds on fruit and nectar. I observed a pair make several attempts to construct a nest in a lime tree on the property of the Bellairs Research Institute in Holetown, St. James, Barbados. The pair did not do a very good job though, because the nest kept falling apart.
