Description

This handsome male bluebird waited patiently below while a Northern Flicker was done feeding off a hanging suet feeder. He made his move as soon as the Flicker departed.He was actually very innovative about it as he would busily chip away at the suet and when another bird eventually displaced him at the feeder he and his partner would return to the ground below and clean up what had fallen to the ground. It was a routine they had developed as I had seen he and his mate perform this many times.
