Description

It seems whenever a predator frightens all the birds away from my feeders, it is always the chickadees that come back first. They seem to scan the area, then announce the “all clear” before the other birds arrive to resume their feeding. This chickadee appeared to be waiting for just the right time to make his declaration. I watched him from my window to get this shot, with just the right lighting.
