This is a red-tailed hawk that I began photographing in the summer of 2016. I would find him quite often in the same general location from week to week. He became so used to my presence that I was able to photograph him in various poses, including feeding, from quite close by. Eventually I decided that he needed a name, and as he seemed to be master of his field, I named him El Cid. He has become quite popular with followers of my Facebook page.
