Description

A pair of Great Crested Flycatchers routinely rear a family in one of my nest boxes in my yard. When the young birds are growing in the nest box, they keep mom and dad busy making trip after trip with food to meet their demands. I believe the insect may be a young cicada of which there are many around my yard. This adult perched on a Savannah Holly limb before entering the nest box to feed.
