We’re in the most western part of Shawnee, KS. We have Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Flickers, Downies, Hairy Woodpeckers – a dime a dozen – even the occasional Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. But this is the first and only time I’ve captured a Red-Headed Woodpecker. They are truly rare here. He’s on our home made feeder eating Jim’s Birdacious® Bark Butter®.
