Description

Sunday 12 February was a snowy day here in Prince Edward County, so I took the time to set up my camera at the window where I watch my feeders for Project Feeder Watch. It took most of the day to get everything adjusted just right, and this male Pileated Woodpecker (a frequent visitor) arrived just in time. You can see the snow blowing around him and, if you look carefully, you can actually see his tongue snaking into the feeder.
