This male Pileated Woodpecker had a snack of suet on one of our feeders. As he left to return to the woods behind our house, I got this shot. Not in focus, but I was still pleased to get an impression of his wingspan in flight.

Wow that is so cool. I’m up north of you and I’ve only seen one of these a few times in the past 20 years and then just a quick glimpse as it flew by.
