Description

This time of year, we have at least five different species of woodpecker visit our feeder in any given day. Often, at the same time. From the tiny downy, to the regal Northern Flicker to the Majestic Pileated. I caught this photo of a downy sitting next a flicker in the tree next to our feeder. I think it is an amazing illustration of the differences that exist among the many species of woodpecker.

Woodpecker Friencs

The variety of Woodpeckers at our feeders never ceases to amaze me. :)
