This Carolina wren enjoyed the bird bath on my deck regularly. This one gave me many opportunities for “bathing beauty “ pictures as it paid no mind to me when I was there. This picture was in a series of many where the water had remained still, due to his bathing in the edge recess of the bath. Imagine my pleasant surprise capturing this one where he clearly surprised himself with his reflection, throwing the wings into a defensive posture.
