Description

This little creature is sometimes mistaken for a bird and is attracted to the same flowers that hummingbirds love. This image was captured at Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL but I have similar summertime flowers in my own yard, as well as a nectar feeder which attracts both hummingbirds and hummingbird moths.

Beautiful capture! I love the hummingbird moths. Such unique creatures, and so hard to get a good shot of due to their size.

I just saw a hummingbird moth flitting about the remaining blossoms on my Butterfly Bush and pink Phlox. It was a delight.
