Thank You!

Matthew Juskowich says:

This Bird Loves Bark Butter From Wild Birds Unlimited!!!!

D Gallachr says:

Perfect photo: seems uniform and dark, a mystery. Then the small bird pops at you, and when you zoom in, every detail is beautifully captured! Even better: notice that the bird’s light-colored breast overlaps the sunlit tree, while his darker back blends into the shadowed tree.

Matthew Juskowich says:

Thank You for the Nice Comment!!! It was such a Beautiful Moment when i took this photo

Victoria says:

The Brown creeper was Jim Carpenter’s goal when he created Bark butter for WBU! Great photo!

Brown Creepers are such a cute bird…and quick! Good catch, looks like our tree when we ‘smather’ the suet.

Matthew Juskowich says:

Thank You Lorraine. This bird showed up in my yard on Christmas day and has been present since. he loves the Bark Butter from Wild Birds Unlimited!!!!

Jan Savko says:

Aleene J. Jones says:

Great Catch Matt! You have my vote. Thumbs Up!!!

Matthew Juskowich says:

Thanks Aleene!!!

Paula says:

Nice feeding idea. If I did that, though, the squirrels would eat it all up in two minutes.

Matthew Juskowich says:

This seems to be the moat ideal way to feed this kind of bird. I also have squirrels and they do love it also.

Oscar says:

Very nice Matt! You are lucky to have such a nice yard/feeder bird. -oscar
I use suet cakes but I might try your method.

Matthew Juskowich says:

bark butter works great as well as No melt suet cakes smashed against the bark. Woodpeckers and carolina wrens love this style of feeding also!!! Try It

Donna Painter says:

Beautiful..You captured a picture of a seldom seen bird. Nice…

Matthew Juskowich says:

Thanks Donna!!! Yes it is a real treat to have this bird as a backyard bird coming to my feeders!!! Its Uncommon

Randy B says:

Awesome picture, like always! Keep up the great work!

Matthew Juskowich says:

Thanks!

Lorraine S LaRose says:

Hope you do not mind…Just a comment…you can also take the suet cakes and bring them to room temp or microwave just 20 seconds; then smather all over a tree or what have you…fun to watch a diversity of birds cling as they feed! Starlings, Blue Jays, Eurasian tree sparrows, Carolina wrens, Brown creeper as shown by Matt, Yellow-rumped warble, Downeys, Hairys and Red-bellies… fun!

Matthew Juskowich says:

Ya. I do this as well with the no melt peanut butter suet. Thanks

Cris Hamilton says:

Always fun to see a Creeper. Way to go, Matthew.

Thanks Everyone for the kind comments!!!

Paul Brown says:

Matt,
I have never had luck with getting a brown creeper to come to a feeder. I will have to try this.

Matthew Juskowich says:

You should paul. They love bark butter from wild birds unlimited. Also carolina wrens, woodpeckers, titmouses and chickadees like it. Sparrows will eat it if you make little tiny suet balls out of it and place them on the ground.

Paul Hess says:

Great yardbird, and nice how you captured his camouflage.

Sheree says:

Nice yard bird, Matt!
