Starting in January I have had both a female and male Pileated Woodpecker visit one of my suet feeders. I went and bought a pileated feeder to accommodate them. I have seen Pileated in the woods before or flying overhead but never in my backyard. They visit several times a day. I try to get a better photo each time but they are a little wary of me. I will have to get a better telephoto lens for my new Nikon D500 to attempt to get a great shot. This photo was taken with my PentaxD10 with 75-300 zoom.
